The purpose here is to provide a quality selection of photos related to vintage and retro lingerie. Consequently we do not aim at filling our gallery with thousands of pictures but accept a reasonable amount of submissions matching our criterias.

Q: Who can join?
A: Anyone! Whether you like to watch girls in cute outfits or take photos yourself! If you wish to post picures please read carefully our Submission Rules

Q: what is vintage and what is retro?
Vintage originally refers to old, precious wines (in french "Millésime"). By extension it names items (clothes, pieces of furniture) which several decades old: from the early 1800´s, the 20´s until the early 60´s.
This term reminds of former times when women would give a special attention to every details from the underwear till make upand hairdo.
Vintage lingerie are items from these old times that have been stored in attics, store stocks and have become fashionable today.
Retro refers to NEW items, i.e made today but according to an old, original pattern. A dress can be made in 2007 from an old pattern from the 30´s -like in movies

Q: I have a cute picture of me in a slip from the 70´s. Is this vintage?
A: You will see sometimes on the Net people talking about vintage 80´s items! This is silly. Vintage has to be at least 40 years old. The very early 60´s items are tolerated but not later.

Q: I have a cute picture of me in a 40´s evening dress. Can i post it?
A: No, we would like to stick to underwear only and not go past this frame

Q: I am a Pin-up traditional artist, i make comic drawings/ pin-up paintings. Can i submit my work?
A: No sorry, this community is for Photography only! We aim at showing girls wearing actual garments. If you wish to show your work to someone i think the Pinup community would be glad to hear from you!

Q: I sumitted my work but it has not been featured in the gallery
A: As often as possible we will send you a note indicating why your submission has not been accepted. Submitting a work does not imply it will be featured


SUBMISSION RULES

YES TO: large waist cinchers, bullet bras, girdles, corsets, non-stretch stockings, large garter belts, high waisted panties, bathing suits, rompers, slips, corselettes

NO TO: thin garter belts, stay-ups, tights, 2 piece modern lingerie

TOLERATED: thongs worn with another vintage piece (cincher, girdle...), retro pieces made of "forbidden fabrics" like vinyl, rubber but worn with other vintage garments like stockings for instance

I will provide a selection of picures for example
